Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce donates $100,000 to 2 children hurt in Union Station shooting

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has donated $100,000 to two children who were injured in this week’s shooting at Union Station.

The two $50,000 donations were made to the Reyes Family’s GoFundMe account.

According to the page, the gunfire injured their two daughters.

“We ask that you continue to keep the family in your prayers as the girls work to recover,” the page says. “This fund will help provide vital financial support for their physical and mental recovery; any leftover funds will be saved for their college funds.”

The donations were made under the name Eighty-Seven Running, which is the name of Kelce’s foundation.

Taylor Swift, Kelce’s girlfriend, donated the same amount to the family of Elizabeth “Lisa” Lopez-Galvan, the woman killed in the shooting.

The NFL star’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, offered her support to one victim’s family with a $100,000 donation.

Travis Kelce continues to grapple with the tragic shooting that left one dead and 22 others injured after this week’s Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl Parade.

As the city and fanbase recover from the tragedy, quarterback Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany visited some of the young victims who were injured at Children’s Mercy Hospital on Friday.

As for Kelce, a source tells ET that he is “actively” figuring out his next steps in helping to give back to the victims and city.

“Travis is trying to process everything that has happened, as is everyone in the Chiefs community,” the source explains. “He is actively trying to find out specifically what the victims’ needs are, and where he can help the most. He wants to ensure that the impacted families get what they need during this difficult time.”

Another source previously shared with ET that the star tight end was “heartbroken” about the tragic aftermath of the parade.

“Travis is a passionate man with a big heart,” the source told ET. “He loves and respects his teammates and profession, and takes football very seriously. He also loves Kansas City, and is heartbroken by what has happened.”
