Former heavyweight competitor Mark Hunt has once more criticised UFC President Dana White. Hunt didn’t hold back after recently revealing how much the vast purses for the boxing battle between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney were. He demanded responsibility and accused White of “corruption” in a furious outburst on social media.
The world of combat sports was shocked by Ryan Garcia’s Instagram post. The fighter revealed that the money he won during his fight with Devin Haney was an incredible $50 million. Haney, meanwhile, still made off with $35 million despite losing. These startling numbers sparked discussion about potential discrepancies in fighter pay and raised eyebrows.
Why Is Mark Hunt Annoyed At Dana White?
Mark Hunt is not fond of Dana White, the CEO of the UFC. Retired heavyweight fighter Mark Hunt blasted his former company for “corruption” after Ryan Garcia’s Instagram post revealed the $50 million salary he received for his match against Devin Haney. In a furious outburst, Hunt demanded that White, the UFC’s longstanding boss, be fired.

Not content to stop there, the 18-fight UFC veteran predicted that on May 8, “people will see his corruption” and referred to White as a “filthy degenerate swine.”
This is why u will be fired u bitch @danawhite there has never been one mma fighter to make this kind of money for a fight filthy degenerate swine may8 th is the date people will see your corruption and all those filth u had conspire with u #CIVILRICO

Mark Hunt has always been displeased with the way UFC fighters are treated. Before departing the company in 2018, he continuously pushed for increased compensation. Notably, he even filed a lawsuit against Brock Lesnar and the UFC after Lesnar’s UFC 200 bout resulted in a positive drug test. The UFC was called a “cheating company” by Hunt.
Never one to back down from a fight, Dana White retaliated. He referred to Mark Hunt as a “delusional guy” who had been unsuccessful in his legal battles with the UFC. There’s still a noticeable tension between the two.
The meaning of May 8th is still unknown, but time will tell. Mark Hunt, however, will not remain mute on the issues of fighter rights and transparency.
